Parents Advisory Committee

Family of children attending Yarm are involved in every aspect of Yarm’s program through the Yarm Gwanga Advisory Group.  This group meets once a month and consists of:

  • Family members of children attending Yarm;
  • Yarm staff; and
  • UNE Early Childhood Education discipline members.

Role

The group works to benefit the experience of Yarm children, their family and Yarm staff.  Family members are invited to come along share good ideas and concerns and become active in finding solutions and improvements.

The group’s role is to:

  • Be a conduit for information between Yarm family’s, Yarm staff and UNE (the Provider of Yarm); and
  • Organise fund-raising (Yarm is a not-for-profit business it runs on a very tight budget).

Meetings

Date:         The last Monday of the Month

Time:         12:00pm1:00pm

Venue:       The ‘Stro at UNE

If you cannot attend the meeting and want to share a good idea or raise a concern, please email yarm@une.edu.au  Provide appropriate detail and clearly indicate that you want it discussed at the Yarm Gwanga Advisory Group.
